trent stromkins.

First interested in drifting after watching a JDM Insider DVD in 2002, Trent started to part out his heavily modified Civic and save for a drift car. In early 2005, when he finally sold his Civic, he picked up the 1986 Corolla he still drives to this day. Street drifting was his start, like most, but that did not satisfy his dreams of drifting.

It was not long after, that Trent decided he had to start drifting at track events. In Nov 2006, CellBlock D was started by Scott Goodman and Trent, which provided track events for practice only, allowing drivers to focus on skill instead of winning. CellBlock D has been running now for more than 2 years of successful events.

When the CellBlock D events started getting interest, a few American drifters came up to an event, which encouraged Trent to do the same and head to the US and try some of their events out. Seattle and Portland became some of Trent’s favorite tracks, and he has been going to every Seattle event since.

In the 2009 Season, Trent has consistently been a top 16 driver, in the Pacific Northwest, in a series that has 70+ drivers competing. Finishing the season in 3rd place overall points in Evergreen Drift’s season, Trent has proven that he is a very skilled and competitive driver. Trent also competed in the Formula D ProAm in Seattle, and earned his invite to the Formula D ProAm Nationals in California to earn his Pro license. Unfortunately he experienced engine failure during practice, and did not earn that license. He is still determined to be competitive and drive hard, possibly earning a Pro license in the future.
